DEC Scholarship Rules

1. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a  Delaware Resident or D.E.C.Member.
2. Applicant  must be enrolled in a Delaware University agriculture program and in good standing.  (Either Delaware State University or the University of  Delaware or a program with DE Technical & Community College that will transfer).
3. Applicant must write a 250 word essay  “How I plan to Use This Course of Study to Further the Equine Industry.”
4. Applicant must fill out an application, include documentation regarding academic status, and submit the essay noted in item #3 on a separate sheet of paper.
5. Deadline for applications will be June 1st.  Selection will be made by committee before September 1st.
6. All awards are given without discrimination as to race, sex, or creed.

Applications must be received prior to June 1st.  Winner(s)  will be notified by September 1st.
